A Bay Area DIY writer's retreat on the cheap?

Help me discover a place in the greater Bay Area I can go for a few days to focus on a writing project.
Quiet is necessary, an internet connection is not, a natural setting is a plus but not necessary either. Cheaper is better (like $125 a night or less, preferably less). I'd prefer not to travel more than two hours from Berkeley. I don't mind traveling hardly at all; getting out of the house and my routine is more important than going a long way from home. Great Airbnb places I should know about? Anything else?

Best answer: Josephine's might fit the bill, and it's hard to beat the price.

The Berkeley City Club periodically has really good Living Social deals, and is a really cool building.

The Berkeley City Club is awesome. I had no idea they had Living Social deals but I'd stay there in a heartbeat.

Response by poster: Thank you! Josephine's looks incredible, and I can put my bike on Caltrain and ride there. Wahoo!
