How demons regard Halloween in Buffy

I feel sure that one of you has got this. I know in the Buffyverse that demons generally avoid Halloween. But where is this concept is explained? Do you have a cite for it? I checked the Buffy wiki but there's no citation.

I am re-watching the series right now and I'm certain it's explained in the very first Halloween episode, which would be S2E6. Basically the demons think Halloween is amateur hour, and find it all too annoying to participate in.

I remember it from that Season 2 episode called "Halloween" as well. It's the one where everyone gets their costumes from a magic costume shop and then at a certain point they all turn into whatever it is their costume is (Willow becomes an actual ghost, Buffy a princess, Xander a soldier, etc.)

I found this!

Xander: I can't believe this. We have to get dressed up and the whole deal?
Willow: Snyder said costumes were mandatory.
Buffy: Great. I was gonna stay in and veg. The one night a year things are supposed to be quiet for me.
Xander: Halloween quiet? Oh, I figured it'd be a big old vamp scare-apalooza.
Buffy: Not according to Giles. He swears that tomorrow night is, like, dead for the undead. They stay in.
Xander: Those wacky vampires! That's why I love 'em! They just keep you guessing!

Yes, and it was indeed the "Halloween" episode; as Giles says "they think it's tacky". Spike also cites that it's too commercial.

Its not really ever explained in any depth, there's also this from Halloween

Buffy: So! How come Halloween is such a big yawner? I mean, do the demons just hate how commercial it's become?
Giles: Um, it's interesting, ac... Not, I suspect, to you. What is it you're after?

This from Fear Itself (season 4)

GILES
True. But what happened then
was anomalous. Creatures of the
night shy away from Halloween.
They find it all much too crass.

And in All The Way (season 6 )

Giles Buffy, you’ve been patrolling every night this week. Besides, it’s Halloween, it’s the one time of the year that supernatural threats give it a well-deserved rest. As should you.
Buffy Yeah, what about costumes that take over your personality? Or, wee little Irish fear-demon-y thingies?
Giles Yes, well, if anything calamitous should happen, history suggests it’ll happen to one of us

and

Spike: It's Halloween, you nit! We take the night off. Those are the rules

Giles sums up the entire show.
