Name that tune, some obscure jazz with chanting?

I heard this song twice on college radio in the early 1990's, and I haven't heard it since. It sounds like mid-tempo jazz, but with an experimental twist...

At a certain point in the song, there is a section with wordless vocals chanting something like: "heyah, heyah, heyah, heyah, heyYah"...

...And then there's this bluesy kinda ragtime piano fill after that, which doesn't quite fit, but sounds really cool.

What tune is this? I'm curious.

"Hell" by the Squirrel Nut Zippers?

It was released in 1996, but was the first thing I thought of.

I'm betting it's Us3, either Cantaloop or "Chilli Hot" off the Get Shorty soundtrack, although the latter only uses a Rhodes electric piano.

There may be other contenders on the Get Shorty soundtrack by John Lurie.

If you'd record yourself humming/singing this...even really badly....it might help.

Response by poster: Sorry, not quite there. I do like the SNZ, tho.
