In need of a holistic music detective

Can you identify this music from Dirk Gently?

It was playing in the background of the BBC TV version of Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency (Episode 2, the one with the robot).

Was it something just made for the show, or did it already exist in some form? I've tried shazam and various similar services with no joy, so I'd be delighted if someone can figure out what it is. Thanks a lot!

Best answer: I believe it's "Birth of a New Intelligence" by the composer for the series, Daniel Pemberton. The soundtrack is available on itunes.
