Best answer: Pretty sure I have missed that exact flight. I wouldn't do it, especially since Ryanair will be 100% unhelpful if you miss the second flight.

We had a really great experience in Dublin with a short transfer period around the same time, but we only had to clear Customs, with luggage transferred by the airline. Given Ryanair, you might want to build in more time just in case.

Customs can be a nightmare in Dublin if you're not traveling on an EU passport. Even then I wouldn't risk it.

Can you check your bags through to your final destination? I'd imagine with Ryanair you can't, but I don't know.

I flew Aer Lingus NYC to Rome via Dublin, and had about the same amount of time to make the connection at about the same time of day and it was no problem at all. Dublin has a 'sterile' area for international transfers, so I didn't have to clear customs - I just showed someone my passport and boarding pass, and went through a metal detector. My bags were checked through to Rome, so I didn't have to worry about that. The whole thing took maybe 15 minutes, and most of that was walking.

However, I was flying with the same airline the whole way, and that airline was not Ryanair. I don't know what the protocols are if you need to change airlines, terminals, etc. Basically: if you can check your bags through, and transit through the sterile area (so, no customs), you should be fine. If you can't, don't risk it. So find that out.

Dangerous. Maybe if you have an EU passport, which is MUCH MUCH MUCH faster through customs. But as I (dimly) recall, dublin airport also involves a ton of walking before you actually get to/through customs.

With Ryanair you will likely have to collect your luggage and then check in again / drop your bag. Ryanair are strict and unhelpful about check-in deadlines and their website says bag drop desks close 40 minutes before your flight departs. That leaves you with an hour and 10 minutes to get from your plane into arrivals. May be very tight, depending on how busy the airport is. If your flight is at all delayed then you will likely miss your connecting flight, and you will need to buy a new flight at that point.

As a Dubliner and seasoned Ryanair traveller I wouldn't risk anything less than minimun 3 hours. Think of Ryanair like hitchhiking.
