Apps That Help Combine Photos to Fix When People Don't Smile or Blinking

I used to use and love an iOS app called GroupShot that helped you magically combine the good parts of multiple photos into one to help fix issues like when people don't smile or accidentally blink or when they aren't all looking at the camera at the same time. The app no longer works right and I can't find any others like it! Anyone know of any other apps out there that do that?
Preferably looking for iOS apps, but people who know of any similar apps for Android are certainly welcome to chime is as well, as those answers may be useful for others, or even my wife who uses an Android phone.
I've tried some general photo combining apps like Juxtaposer and PixMix but the edits just don't look that good. They're certainly not apps that help fix things "automagically" like GroupShot did.
The developers of GroupShot have not responded to any of my support requests/messages. I'm tired of waiting for them to fix things. It has been almost 11 months since the last update (when previously, updates were pretty regular, which makes me concerned that something might have happened to the developer).

town of cats is right. Although, on second thought, I don't think I used Google+. I thought it was when I uploaded to Picasa.

Although I haven't used it much, my Galaxy Note 3 (noted because I believe different android phones have different features sometimes even having the same Android version) natively has a "best face" mode which, as I understand it, does exactly this.
