Translate a motto to Latin please?

If "art for art's sake" is "ars gratia artis", what would be the Latin translation of "fear for fear's sake"?

Try "timor gratia timoris," or "metus gratia meti."

And they said my Latin minor was worthless!

Best answer: schooley: metus is 4th declension, so that version is metus gratia metūs
