Can anyone recommend a beginner level English language tutorial series for Spanish speakers who cannot read or write in either language?

To be clear, they can't read or write Spanish, either?

Best answer: There's Muzzy or Let's Go Pocoyo!, but they are very evidently made for small children. An adult audience could feel talked down to.

OTOH, maybe the Vaughan method audiovisual materials? I know there is a TV series and they have a radio station in Spain. I just find that style of rephrasing everything incredibly irritating.

Response by poster: That's correct, empath. And as far as being condescending, sukeban, those children's shows beat the earlier vids we found that focused on housekeeping.

Best answer: The Pimsleur Method audio series is good, but pricey. Your local library might have it.

Your local library might have it.

And most bittorrent sites (piratebay, etc), if not.
