Things to do in Seoraksan

We are visiting Seoraksan, Korea this summer. We are looking for information about hiking and things to do in Seoraksan and Sokcho.

In particular we are looking for relatively easy day hikes (i.e. a couple hours max and as flat as possible) with good scenery. Harder hikes are also a possibility. Also, any good source of hiking and topo maps would be appreciated - I've googled and only found low-quality, uninformative scans. Are there any recommendations for places to eat or get take out in Sokcho, and other things to do there? Thanks in advance.

Best answer: Probably the top hike to do would be to go into Mt. Seoraksan National Park, visit Sinheungsa temple and go up the gondola to the top of the mountain (since you are looking for easy walks). Sorry if this is the obvious answer, but I did it, and I loved it. I also enjoyed wandering around another beautiful temple along the coast there called Naksansa and would recommend it.
