Lovely bed and breakfast in the lower Hudson Valley?

I'd like to treat my parents to a night/weekend at a bed and breakfast, somewhere within an hour of the New Paltz/Kingston area of upstate NY. Any suggestions?

Mother's Day is on the horizon and I'd like to get my mom (and dad of course) a night or two at a nice bed and breakfast/resort type place. My parents have been through a lot the past few months and really need a nice relaxing weekend.

I'm looking for something within an hour of where they live (Kingston/New Paltz area of NY state) and preferably a place where there's things to do besides sit around. Mohonk Mountain House would be ideal but... it's $600 a night. That's a bit out of my price range! I just want a pretty place with beautiful scenery, maybe a pool or lake to swim in, trails to walk down, maybe some entertainment at night like music or dancing. My dad is recovering from an injury so they can't really do any super physical stuff like hiking or horseback riding. I just want a nice little vacation for them, without too much driving or stress. Absolutely no flying anywhere.

Any suggestions are welcome!

Audrey's is a favorite, and I can vouch for the incredible menu. Very close to the Mohonk Preserve for some easy strolling.

Minnewaska Lodge in Gardiner (nearby the Mohonk Reserve) and is much more affordable than the Mohonk Mountain House. There is an OUTSTANDING German restaurant right across the street from the Lodge that I highly recommend.

Best answer: The Pig Hill Inn in Cold Spring Village is adorable. They have bed in breakfast service too, and easy access to the hiking trails nearby.

Response by poster: These all look great but I think Pig Hill Inn may be the winner! Cold Spring is just far enough away to seem like a vacation (but still only an hour's drive away). But please keep the suggestions coming, just in case.

Storm King Lodge? Although Storm King Art Center is a great place to walk around, there is a tram if its too much for your dad.

Response by poster: So I bought my parents a night at Pig Hill Inn and turns out, they LOVE Cold Spring. So this was a perfect fit. Thanks everyone!
