Simple: How do you pronounce the Finnish word 'kestävyys' ?

Kest (rhyme with vest) -ah-vice ?

Best answer: Brainmouse's link is probably the best answer, but we don't have the Finnish y in English, so if you're having trouble with it, try saying "ee" (like beet") but with your lips rounded the way you would if you said "boot". In linguistic terms, it's a high front rounded vowel. The fact that there's two of them means you hold it a little longer.

(The ä is like the vowel in the English word "ash", but in this case it's in an unstressed syllable so whatever.)
