My daughter received this valentine today from a staff member at her public school. Can anyone tell me what it says?
Thank you -
Response by poster: I thought it might, but with this particular person, one can never be sure. Thank you!

Justinian, what's the transliteration -- it's not chag semeach, is it?

A direct translation is "day love happy".
Valentine's day is usually referred to as love's day in Hebrew.

Across the top it says simcha yom (happy day). Down the right side it says ahavah (love). Chag sameach is just a general term that means happy holiday.

The best translation would be Happy Love Day. Judging from the handwriting, though, I believe that whoever wrote this doesn't actually know Hebrew and just copied the letter shapes.

It's obviously intended to say "Happy Valentine's Day", or literally "Happy Love Day", but whoever wrote it didn't know Hebrew: both the grammar and some of the letter shapes are wrong.

One name for Valentine's Day in Hebrew is "yom ahava" (love day). So "yom ahava sameach" means "[have a] happy Valentine's day". The person who made the card didn't form the letters very well, and didn't know the correct word order.
