Acne doctor in Boston?

Can you recommend a dermatologist, specializing in treating acne, in the Boston area?

I have had a hard time finding an acne specialist online. I have mild/mild-to-moderate acne and I want to speak with someone who can renew my prescription (written by a non-dermatologist) and offer some wisdom on whether my current course of treatment is good.

If someone does not come up with an acne specialist for you, you can e-mail me and I will give you the name of my dermatologist, who is in Watertown. I like her a lot.

She's in Framingham, but about 15 years ago Monika Berg worked wonders for me. My face went from looking like Io to looking, well, normal.

She tried a few different meds on me, when nothing worked, we went to Acutaine, which worked. She wasn't quick to just prescribe something, she really examined me a lot, something not enough doctors seem to do.

Acutain is pretty harsh stuff... I spoke with my family doctor and he prescribed a topical cream (5% benzoyle peroxide and clindamycin, although some people prefer erythromycin) and I use a facial wash with chlorhexidine or triclosan.

I've been on the clinda for about a month now and I'm very satisfied with the results. It's not so effective for whiteheads (I use a microbead exfoliant and sometimes a pick when the 'heads are really mature) but I had these deep pockets of gunk and those cleared up really quickly. The rosette-like acne is also cleared up pretty rapidly, too.

The only downside is that this doesn't completely get rid of the acne, I still have to do surveillance and early intervention but at least this intervention has been (for me) very effective..
