Good 3.5mm male to 3.5mm female audio cable extension?

I am looking for a 3.5mm to 3.5mm male to female audio cable extension where the male end would fit into an iPhone audio jack through a case. (So the male end should be roughly similar to the end of a pair of default iPhone headphones.) The female end would attach to, say, speakers or maybe a Square card reader. I would prefer if the male end is at a right angle to the rest of the cable.

Thanks in advance!

Just a thought - Square card reader to extend your reader? Might not communicate correctly that way. I think I tried it with my UP band and it failed.

Square themselves have some recommendations about extenders - not all will work, and they don't officially support any.

Monoprice is the place to go for all cables. One of these should do the trick. They are not at a right angle, but were specifically designed for mobile devices (i.e. they were designed to fit through phone cases).

If you're attaching a device that's anything but speakers, headphones or earphones (e.g. an earphone/mic combo, or a earbugs with a volume control), you need to find a tip-ring-ring-sleeve connector.

Standard stereo headphones have three conductive bands on the plug: the tip, the ring, and the sleeve (below the ring). To support a third channel (mic/controls) you need another conductive band, hence tip-ring-ring-sleeve.

I note that the recommendations on the square page linked by Tomorrowful above are for tip-ring-ring-sleeve products, and that the monoprice products above lack the second ring.

Best answer: The StarTech 1m 3.5mm 4 Position TRRS Headset Extension Cable - M/F has the right connector. Not right angle, though.
