How to view images in enhanced podcast on iPod nano?

When viewing enhanced podcasts on an iPod nano, is it possible to keep the image enlarged?

Ordinarily while listening to an enhanced podcast the nano displays a thumbnail image with the podcast title/creator next to it, and the only way to view the image any larger is to click the middle button twice. But then after a few seconds the screen changes back to the default view. Is there any way to keep the image enlarged all the time while listening?

This is the same behavior as happens when you click the middle button to rate or scrub through a track. It always reverts to the default screen in a couple seconds. Unless there's an undocumented hack to get around this, there's no way to make a screen stick.

There is an undocumented hack to get the screen to stick. Not sure if it works on the nano, but it does work on iPod photos:

When you click the center button, it cycles through the Now Playing screens, to the large album art view, to the star-rating screen etc.

If you push the center button to the screen right BEFORE the full album art, and then press the Menu button AND the center button at just about the same time, the screen will both advance AND stick on the large album art view page.

It'll take a few tries -- try alternating pushing the Menu button slightly before or slighty after the center button until you find the right timing. It sounds strange, but it DOES work, and I prefer listening this way as it keeps the CD art up full screen while I listen in Shuffle mode. The general hope is that this hack is rendered moot by an update to the iPod system software in a future update that would let you set a preference to keep the large art view onscreen.

Response by poster: Wow... thanks for the tip. Unfortunately doesn't seem to work on the nano.

I'll wait for an update from Apple... they'd be stubborn not to fix this little problem considering the growth of enhanced podcasts.
