Help me stay warm: tall+slim outerwear for women

Winter coat filter: Hello minds of mefi, I am looking for an uber warm women's parka. Complexity level: I am six feet tall and size 4. Brands like North Face are great, but the sleeves are too short and waist is too wide. So I am looking for quality brads that I could look into that would fit a tall, slim woman. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks in advance.

My winter coat is from Canada Goose and it is the WARMEST THING EVER - this will be my third winter with it and I love it so much. It's parka-style and has a nice slim fit (sizes go down to XXS, I'm a size 2 and mine is a S), with hidden adjustable bits at the waist, sleeves and neck. This was a big deal for me, because most parkas feel way too loose and bulky. The only thing I can't vouch for is how well the sleeves will fit on a taller person because I'm rather short.

Their site is messed up for iPad so I can't link to a specific style, but I think mine is the Trillian. They have a lot of great options though. The coats are pricey, but the quality is excellent (mine still looks brand new) and as I am an always-cold person who lives in a cold climate and sometimes likes to go skiing, it's been totally worth it.

Eddie Bauer makes talls in lots of styles. I'm 6'1" (but not a size 4) and have a great coat from them that's long enough.

Best answer: Your question got me searching a bit...what about Long Tall Sally? Here's a coat that happens to be on clearance that should be long enough and comes in small and XS!

Response by poster: For some reason, Long Tall Sally totally eluded me all these years. Thanks!

A bit late, but I am also around your size, and have found Norrona and Icebreaker to be good.

I'm 5'10" - I have a down jacket from lululemon that is definitely cut for the tall and slim & is suitable for days like today (30s and windy), and a heavier one from Bogner for super cold weather (got mine secondhand, they are very pricey..). on the more affordable side I've had decent luck with J Crew tall sizes for coats - they make XS and S tall in some of them, including a puffer, you might try that?

I love love love my Columbia Omni-Heat jacket, and I'm almost as tall as you. The sleeves are actually long enough, and they have one of those cuffs that have thumb-holes, which actually reach to my thumbs.

Seconding that Columbia jacket. I'm 5' 10" with a long torso and long arms, and the jacket fits me well. I got it in a large because I'm wider than you are.
