Good weekday DSLR beginners courses in London?

I've recently found myself with an excessive amount of holiday which needs to be taken in December so I've decided to buy myself a Digital SLR and go on a beginners photography course in London. However given that I won't be working and it's the winter (so limited hours of light), I want one that runs during the day. Help!

Although I've found a couple of courses in London, most of them are either evenings or weekends.

The only one I can find that is during the week is from the London School of Photography who are offering a 4 day course for a slightly eye-watering fee of £595.

Can anyone recommend a course that runs during the week? Or should I just do something else and take the photography course in the evening or weekend instead?

Nikon run one day courses for beginners in London during weekdays. I knows people who've taken them and enjoyed them.

Response by poster: Unfortunately they aren't doing courses on a weekday (plus I'm getting a Canon), but a search for "Canon photography course" did point me to this person who does 1 on 1 training during the week.

I'm open to other suggestions.

Fair enough. Just for the record though - their 6th December beginner's course is on a Friday.

Best answer: In the end, I did a two day beginners photography course with Steve McLaren Photography and was very happy with the outcome. I especially liked the fact it was 1 to 1 tuition at a reasonable price (£110 per day).
