What exactly did Disney get when they acquired Lucasfilm?

I'm trying to identify what assets were acquired in Disney's purchase of Lucasfilm. Since Disney is a publicly traded company, would this information be located in any type of detailed document? One area I'm particularly wondering about is movie props from the Star Wars and Indiana Jones films - does Disney own them or did Lucas keep them?

Are you interested in the physical props or the intellectual property related to props?

Here's the lengthy, rambling press release about the deal, noting that this purchase included "Lucas Licensing, which manages the global merchandising activities for Lucasfilm's entertainment properties," along with LucasArts, Industrial Light & Magic, and Skywalker Sound, "and the present intent is for Lucasfilm employees to remain in their current locations."

To me, this implies they got everything, but will likely keep the Lucasfilm Archives in their current location for the time being.

If you're talking about physical objects, that would depend whether Lucasfilm categorized said items as "assets" or whether they were part of the personal collection of George Lucas (or perhaps part of the Lucasfilm Archives, or some other arrangement).

Disney doesn't get to take objects personally owned by George Lucas that are related to Lucasfilm projects simply by virtue of the Star Wars IP now belonging to Disney.

If there was some kind of studio archive or other formal collection, that gets very complicated and depends on a lot of other things. If, as filthy light thief says, they got "everything", that would presumably include the studio archive, because where else is it going to go? Unless Lucas specifically said, "no, wait, I want to keep the Millennium Falcon, but sure, everything else..." or something. Which he could?

Any props that were still part of the overall prop/set dec/office decor/costume asset holdings of the studio, they would definitely have physically gone to Disney.

One thing Disney did not get was distribution rights to the older films. Those are still owned by ?Fox Home Video?.

As one article I read put it, they basically bought the right to make new movies, but not much else related to the old movies.

yes, but it may or may not be a public document. you'd want to look into any filings with the SEC or any other government that might have jurisdiction. but if it's more like a contract between two companies it's probably not public, even if Disney is a public company, for the same reason they don't have to make the contract between them and their janitorial contractors public.
