Godzilla birthday party playlist - above and beyond Blue Oyster Cult!

You guys did so great with last year's Dr. Who party playlist! This year, our six year old is having a Godzilla birthday party, and we need tunes.

I've already got some selections from various Godzilla movies, and that one song by Blue Oyster Cult. What are your suggestions for songs that aren't necessarily about Godzilla, but would be thematically appropriate, e.g. kaiju/monsters, monster fights, radioactivity, Japan?

Open to all genres of music! Lyrics should not contain overt swearing!

The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny. The lyrics might be a little sketchy for a 6-year-old, but they're fast.

Was looking for Tom Waits' Big in Japan and found there's also a different Alphaville song of the same name.

Well, MST3K's Gamera is a personal favorite, as is The Theme from UltraMan, but he was more against the kaiju than for them.

You could probably also find a half dozen covers of the B.O.C. version. Smashing Pumpkins, Racer X, Fu Manchus and others have done it.

Late '90s nostalgia with the American Godzilla motion picture soundtrack - Puff Daddy rapping, with Godzilla roars, Green Day's first foray into more complex music and lyrics - with Godzilla roars. Rage Against the Machine mentions Godzilla once in their song, which features Godzilla roars - you get it.

Very early and very recent Aquabats where they fight alien monsters would be very appropriate, especially the Cat With Two Heads.

Jonathan "JoCo" Coulton's song "I Crush Everything" is the song by a sea monster with some self-esteem issues and a deep affection for ships, but acknowledges that its grabby nature isn't so good for the objects of its love.

Even if nobody's listening to the lyrics really, the chorus is "I crush everything" over and over, so it's gotta work.

There's the theme song to the Hanna-Barbera Godzilla cartoon.

Up from the depths. Thirty stories high! He breathes fire -- his head in the sky! Godzilla! Godzilla! Godzilla!

and Godzuuuu-kiii...

Jonathan Richman's I'm a little dinosaur perhaps - or Wanda Jackson's Fujiyama Mama. Pink Martini do Song of the Black Lizard or the more up-tempo Zundoko-Bushi.

Loch Ness Monster by The Flying Fish Sailors might fit the bill.

And while we're talking about Celtic Kaiju, you can also go with The Police's Synchronicity II
