Lazy Halloween filter: Where to buy a Luchador mask in chicago?

So of course I've left this to the last minute, but I've hit upon a good costume for my build: Luchador in a suit. . I've got the cheap suit covered, but I can't imagine walking around for hours in an ill-fitting luchador mask, so I'd much rather go somewhere where I can try a few on. Where can I get an authentic-ish Luchador mask in chicago that'll let me try a few on?

Best answer: Crap. I have passed the place you want to go to, but I don't know what it was called and I'm not sure exactly where it is. It's on 26th Street somewhere between Kedzie and Pulaski. Window is filled with wrestling masks. I've passed it on aimless wanderings.

Sorry that's not more helpful, but I'm pretty sure you'll be able to find what you want in Little Village with just a little bit of browsing.

Best answer: There's a place on on the south side of Chicago Ave just west of Ashland, roughly around Alcala's (if you know where that is) that has a bunch in the front window. Heck, go there and then hit Alacala's, and you could be Luchador JR from Dallas.

And so you know to give your costume a bit of legitimacy you can go as a real, famous luchardor. The one in your pic is el Blue Demon. If you pick a white mask you can go as Santo, if you pick a blue mask you can go as Blue Demon (yes in English), and anything else you can say you are Mil Máscaras. These guys are folk icons in Mexico.

FYI, last year PBS ran a nice little documentary about Lucha Libre, and it runs through some of the most famous characters. Description and video at this link: https://www.google.com/search?q=pbs+lucha+libre+documentary

I'm pretty sure I've seen these at the Logan Square Megamall.
