Calendar solution for scheduling shared space

I need an online calendar that can be shared by numerous organizations. It must be printable (where class titles can be clearly read with a month on a page). I have tried Outlook and Google Calendar without success.

The ideal calendar will have readable descriptions in each day space and fit a month to a page when printed. I would like an online solution so that I could just send the URL out and if any changes need to be made they can be updated in real time. I need to be able to email the calendar out to numerous human service providers. I also need to be able to have it embedded or at the very least linked to on our website.

It must be printable - and I must be able to add a header with the organization name, website, address, and phone number. I also need to be able to put class descriptions on the back.

Outlook failed because I was only able to share the calendar within my organization. I know there are some ways around this but assume it isn't possible due to firewall or other IT issues.

Google Calendar should be great for this but I can't get it to print nicely. My class titles always get cutoff and I can't figure out how to add a header with contact information.

Is there a free solution out there? We don't have a budget for this. What does everyone else use to schedule shared spaces?

Best answer: Our organisation uses roombookingsystem which is not free and faces which is free but doesn't exactly look intuitive.

A good solution for you might be to embed a google calendar into a website (which could be a simple offline HTML page) - instructions from google here. That way, you could customize the headers and other surrounding info. It also looks like you can customize size etc. I can't vouch for how this would print, though.

Best answer: We've deployed openroom for a local community college with apparent success (ie we only ever hear from them when it's broken). Assuming you have the staff to run Exchange, you probably have the staff to set this up.
