Name this melody, hard mode

Here is a MIDI file of a melody that is stuck in my head, from deep recesses of old memories. I'm not sure why it came back up today. Please tell me where it came from. Difficulty level: pretty sure it's a fairly famous Chinese or other East Asian language pop song, but I can't remember any lyrics.
