What sexual positions will not irritate a hernia?

My (male) partner has an inguinal hernia. It was repaired with mesh 3 years ago, but is bothering him again. He has a surgical consult soon. In the meantime, what sexual positions could we employ that would alleviate the stress?

Normally we enjoy the missionary position just fine, but this is causing pain for him. Generally he gets me off before we have intercourse, so I'm ok with positions that are more male-oriented. (I should have said:I'm female). Me-on-top seems like it would work, but he finds it very hard to come that way. I know I could get him off in other ways, but we thought this was a good excuse to try something new!
Bonus points for nice clear illustrations!

I don't know the answer to your question, but I had the same surgery. A couple months later the pain came back. Later found out it was bursitis in my hip causing the pain. It presses on the exact same nerve. Evidently taking it easy during recovery and taking the pain pills - which contain an anti-inflammatory, made the bursitis better.
In partial answer, I'd think any position where he is doing the work would cause the pain, and, being male, I know that doing that work is what does it for me.
