Help me find an article!

Help me find an article on web development about starting from a design mockup instead of with requirements and the like.

Within the last 6 months I read an article - I think on one of the design blogs like 37Signals or something - that suggested that an alternative approach to effective web development was to begin with a designer's mockup as the starting point. The suggestion was that executing each functionality in that mockup was much easier and more straightforward when it was tied to a specific look etc. I believe this was proposed as an alternative to designing based on preliminary research into requirements and such.

I have searched under every conceivable term in Google and no joy yet. Does anyone remember this piece? Alternatively, can you suggest one like it?

Best answer: Was it the "No functional spec" post on the 37signals blog?

Response by poster: Bingo - Letourneau has got it. thanks.

I must admit to being a bit embarrassed that he got it with the first response.
