Waxing on the object, thinking about the subject?

Blogs devoted to objects, fascinating and everyday?
I'm thinking about working on an art series devoted to subjects interacting with objects-- however rather than looking around my house or surroundings I was thinking it might be neat to work with some pre-existing parameters. So I was looking for some interesting blogs (or alternately books) that focused on objects-- both with images and perhaps a brief description/discussion of them contextually.
To share the wealth: I've found Object of the Day which is great, although some of the items are more art than functional objects. I'm also looking into A History of the World in 100 Objects which sounds neat too.
Tumblrs are fine too as are shopping/decor blogs or online museum collections-- I'm just looking for neat objects as subject fodder!

Best answer: It's sometimes superficial and mostly just ranked lists but occasionally oobject.com turns up some fascinating images of random stuff, with a brief explanation/description.
For example:
Pressure Suits
Dueling Pistols

Best answer: I don't know if you want places where people are already doing this sort of thing in an arty way but Significant Objects might just be your thing.
