Help me remember the name of an odd but great mid-90s Minneapolis band.

I can't, for the life of me, remember the name of a peculiar but compelling band that would play at the Bryant-Lake Bowl and other places in Uptown Minneapolis around 1995-1997, and it's driving me batty.

It was a power trio with a father and son in it. The son was doing an early-Elvis Costello meets The La's power pop thing convincingly, while the father brought a love of doo-wop to the band. They had really good harmonies and could rock surprisingly hard. They never seemed to have a huge following, despite how tight they were. They had a lot of graphically distinctive flyers that they would put up all around the neighborhood back when I worked briefly at the Wedge co-op.

Memory shard that could be completely wrong: The name might begin with a 'B' and end with a number.

Could it be the AbdoMen? They were a trio with a father and (I believe) two sons that I saw at Famous Dave's in Calhoun Square around that time frame IIRC.

Response by poster: Thanks for the suggestions, but those aren't it, unfortunately. The mystery lives on, making my brain itch.
