Can you help me find Washington Redskins apparel that doesn't feature the name Redskins, the visage of an Indian chief, or a reference to any specific players?

As I gear up for NFL football this year, I'd like to get a shirt or three in support of my local team. However, like many others, I don't support the official name or the iconography and I won't wear it.

Google found me a site with a few designs that might work: 8-bit video game references; using the word Skins instead; or even some Native American appropriation that isn't representing an actual human are options (e.g., this but not this). And nothing against RGIII, but I'm just not interested in jerseys or anything referencing specific players.

However, I'd rather buy items that don't come from American Apparel because I don't support all of their business practices and their shirts don't fit my bustline. I would also truly love to find a high-quality, comfy, long-lasting hoodie.

Ugh, sorry. Just noticed it's American Apparel. Maybe something like this?

Just throwing this out there, they just ran an ad on the radio during the old school show on PGC

I have this issue too & all I've got is an old AA men's tee which is, at least, the right shade of burgundy. I might get something with RGIII on it that's not team official gear. This is why I root for an AFC team as well, because my other team logo isn't racist. I'm not giving Dan Snyder any of my money until they change the name.

I'm blanking on how to search for an alternative, but have you tried cafepress or zazzle or etsy (or whatever the kids are using these days?)

The Sports Blog Nation site, Hogs Haven, sells apparel. Sure, you'd be advertising the blog, but you'd ID yourself as part of the fantribe without putting the dollars in Danny's pocket.

They may not be the only blog with a t-shirt, SBN was just the first place I thought to check.

Here's a hoodie with an R instead of that racist Native face, although it does still say "Redskins".

Here's a Nike T-shirt that has the R but no team name.

I feel your pain, man. It sucks that we've got the team with the insensitive name AND the crappy record.

I was wandering the Alexandria waterfront a few weeks ago and there was someone with a booth selling shirts that read something like "I Support Washington's Football Team" in gold on burgundy.

I am not sure of the exact wording and cannot find anything online at this time though in looking I did find one that just reads Football Team in the burgundy and gold.

NFLshop.com has this shirt and this shirt with just the R circle logo.

Here are a couple not-very-good options- sorry about the AA:

Raljohn Stadium (Lofteez tee, right colors)

Football team (American Apparel, right colors)

Best answer: All the examples you gave of acceptable shirts come from Skreened; they can print on shirts other than american apparel.
It might be different viewing on a computer (I'm on mobile view), but scroll down to "more styles." Under "Men's & Unisex," expand "tees." The last four options are non-AA; you can get an Anvil or Bayside brand shirt with those designs. (The shirt will be cheaper than if you got the AA version, too.)

How about maroon and gold stripes?

Response by poster: Duh, I didn't notice that until you pointed it out. Thanks, neda!
