Who's playing in the next world war?

When the next global conflict breaks out, who would the participating entities be?
On the one hand I am thinking about the UN and all the countries who have nuclear capability. On the other, I'm also wondering about nationless states like Anonymous or Al Quaeda - would/could they play a significant role?
