Where can I leave my car long term near Wickford, RI?

I'm living on a sailboat for the summer, currently in Wickford, ri. My car is down here but I would like to go away for a month or two. Currently I don't have a place to leave my (old but important to me) car. Can you suggest a very cheap or free place I can leave my car somewhere in the vicinity?

It appears the new commuter rail station in wickford is offering free parking for all of 2013. I don't know if that means that I can dump my car there though.

Thanks!

I doubt you can dump the car in any parking lot for 4-8 weeks without it eventually being noticed as abandoned and towed. And that is assuming vandals don't get to it first. Most of the You-Store-It places offer car /boat / RV parking. That is probably going to be the sweet spot for safety and price.

How about put a post on Craigslist for a spot? Someone in the area might let you leave it in their driveway for a few bucks--likely much cheaper than a storage place.

Oh, and call the local cops or the MBTA about leaving your car there. You never know what you will find out. I know people who have left cars at bus stations for a few weeks with no problems and called the cops beforehand, to ask about how often the lot was patrolled and the officers were really helpful.
