Historical -- Modern Military Deployment Figures for the US

Where/how can I find comprehensive military deployment statistics going back to the Civil War?

I want Army, Marine Corps, Air Force (only since WW1, obviously) and Navy numbers. I just need to know how many people were deployed since 1861 to the present, ideally by conflict, e.g. Civil War (Union figures, not Confederate), Phillipine Insurrection, Indian Campaigns, and so on. All conflicts in which a medal of honor was awarded. Kind of a tall order, I realize, and help is greatly appreciated.

Best answer: I hope this helps:

http://www.army.mil/gettysburg/statistics/statistics.html

The core site also has stats on personnel and their medals.
