Password management for a nonprofit

I am part of a nonprofit that has a dozen or so board members and assorted helpers. There are a variety of accounts for members and for the nonprofit itself that could use some sort of centralized management system (our website, google and social media logins, email accounts, bank accounts). Is there anything freely available that can help us manage access?

Ideally it will help us:

1. Use very strong passwords for every account
2. Change passwords at any point without impacting users of the affected account (as their workflow with the password manager remains unchanged)
3. Limit access of certain accounts to specific board members
4. Provide a way to reclaim or re-assign accounts that is auditable and provides accountability (perhaps even requiring multiple board members to assent when adding access to certain accounts)
5. Easy to use for people who may not feel like learning a new computer trick

Oh, and cheap would be good. Free would be great.

Best answer: We use LastPass on a more informal basis which meets some of your needs. I would recommend LastPass Enterprise for what you are describing. It appears to be $24/year/user which is a steal for the benefit, but they may have NPO pricing available if you need to get that lower.

Best answer: I second lastpass. You will have to pay for it, but I'm not aware of any free options that provide everything that you want.

Best answer: I'm also a fan of Lastpass (but I just use it individually and have not used the Enterprise edition).

Best answer: Just in case the first three responses weren't sufficient: LastPass.

Best answer: You could use Keepass as an open source alternative. There are also some other web app based free password storage systems. Lastpass will most likely be the easiest to use and adopt with your staff.

Based on this thread, my organization is trying Lastpass Enterprise. It’s horrible, one of the worst cumulative software systems I’ve ever experienced. It’s like a million RFPs were sent out at once and fulfilled by no-name Bangalore development shops into a crooked frankenstein of botched interface. Nothing else that we’ve tried has the same features as Lastpass, but the implementation of those features in Lastpass is so clumsy that I’m not sure I can impose this on my organization.
