How can I get rid of this iCal error message?

Ical is giving me a persistent error out of nowhere, and I have no idea how to stop or correct it.

I've suddenly been receiving the following error:

Access to account “Google” is not permitted.

The server responded:
“403”
to operation CalDAVAccountRefreshQueueableOperation.

The two options given are "Go offline" and "Ignore." When I click either of them, the error dialogue box immediately pops up again.

I have an old google calendar account that was linked to iCal a long time ago, but it isn't checked in my list of calendars at the top of the iCal window and haven't changed anything recently that could have prompted this error.

Thanks for your help!

Best answer: You need to manually remove the old Google calendar account from preferences. iCal is still trying to sync the old calendar even if it's not checked in the main iCal window.
