Seeking a Wedding Venue Near Boca Raton, Florida

Hi there! My fiancee and I are looking to get married in Florida in either the spring or fall (hopefully when it’s not boiling hot). We plan to invite about 200 people and we’re looking for a venue where we can have both the ceremony and the reception (and if it were a hotel as well, all the better). We’re looking for someplace within a 45-minute drive of Boca Raton, so we’re talking about places like Delray Beach, Boca del Mar, Deerfield Beach, Pompano Beach all the way down to Fort Lauderdale. (There may be other places nearby besides the ones I’ve listed.) The trick is, we’re looking for an INDOOR venue that’s more than just four solid walls. Ideally we’d like something with lots of windows and a view, and maybe even a patio. If anyone has any ideas, we’d be very grateful. TripAdvisor or Yelp links are *especially* welcome. Thanks everyone! Much obliged to MetaFilter!

I got married at the UU Church Ft. Lauderdale. Rev Gail and Rabbi Greg married us in a mixed service. It's the UU Church of Ft. Lauderdale, although it's actually in Oakland Park, FL.

I donated the stoves so I know there are cooking/catering facilities, also an amazing patio with picnic tables. There's a gorgeous garden out back with a Labyrinth.

It can be set up for both the service and the reception afterwards (I've spent many an evening reconfiguring the place.)

There are folks there who can play the piano for you, DJ for you, take your pictures, and do the flowers.

I cannot stress enough how wonderful it was to have our wedding here!

Well, it's (very!) expensive, but ... Boca Raton Resort and Club.

This area is so expensive, its hard to give suggestions without a budget range. There are several Ritz-Carlton/Boca Resort/Four Seasons/Breakers-type luxury hotels within 45 minutes of Boca that would be lovely wedding venues, but would be outside of most people's budgets. I hate suggesting things like the Henry Flagler Museum in Palm Beach if it's so far outside your budget that it just makes you sad to look at it!

The Harriet Himmel Theater in West Palm Beach is also a really pretty venue. I assume its pricey but not nearly as much as Flagler; I've attended events there before so it must be reasonably affordable to rent out. There's a Marriott close by.

Seconding odinsdream. My mom married my stepdad at Sundy House, and my stepsister just had her wedding there a few months ago. It's a gorgeous setting, and the food is really good.

I found my perfect place on weddingwire.com It allowed me to search for many features of the wedding venue. I found a place where I can bring in a caterer on this beautiful estate property owned by a park district. I will be doing the ceremony outside and the reception inside. And the inside is not some grey boxy walls.
