Tasker Noob seeks USEFUL tutorials

I have Tasker for my Samsung Galaxy S Relay 4 G (Samsung's Touchwiz'ed Jellybean 4.1.2, rooted), but I have never used it before. I would like to use it to play custom notification sounds for certain Google Hangouts, but I'm finding trouble finding tutorials that actually teach the basics I need to learn.
For example this tutorial, which bills itself as "noob-proof", is for something quite similar to what I'm looking to do, but I only get so far into it before it loses me. (Specifically, the line about "Once inside the task, click on the icon button and select a suitable one, then click on the + button, select ‘Tasker’ and then ‘Stop’ and then ‘Done’." That's all fine and good, but when I select 'Tasker', I don't have a 'stop' to select, and don't know enough to know if this is a problem.)
So what I'd like to know is if there are any ultranoob tutorials with pictures that are current for the latest interface, or specific steps to set up tasker for the task I've described above. The answers to this previous question on the same subject weren't really helpful.
