North Austin/Pflugerville doctor recommendations

Primary care physician and an eye doctor are both needed. I live just north of Howard street in south Pflugerville so a good doctor by there would be great. If you know they take United Healthcare Insurance that's even better!

I don't have a good rec on a PCP, I don't really have one. I have a doctor at the local Austin Regional Clinic that I see for various non-major things.

For an optometrist I go to Michael Hobuss. I don't know if it's appropriate to post address/phone number here? I guess maybe it is because it's a place of business? Anyway he's on 1825 (Pecan St) near the huge Cinemark theater. I've been going to him since we lived here (last 6-7 years), seems like a perfectly good eye doctor to me. I don't know what insurance they take. It's very a much a mom and pop operation - the receptionist/assistant is his wife.

You can also search for physicians using United Healthcare's Webiste.

If you're looking for an ophthalmologist on the north side, I recommend Dr. Restivo at Hill Country Eye Center. He's so great I not only drive up to see him now that I've moved south of the river and I'm taking my mother to see him.

I know he takes UHC medical for eye conditions because that's my insurance, too.
