More like Macklemore, but instrumental?

So, after FPP after FPP, I decided to check out Macklemore, and I'm suitably impressed. At the same time, going along with the instrumental track on The Heist, I'm realizing that I'd love to listen to an album like Macklemore but, well, without the vocals.

As much as I like Macklemore and the lyrics, I'd live to hear just the backing tracks. I'm definitely interested in other artists like Macklemore, but if there are albums out there that are essentially like The Heist without lyrics, I'd love to give them a listen.

I'm especially looking for instrumentals along the lines of A Wake, Thin Line, My Oh My, or Starting Over, if anyone knows of stuff like that.

You might like the J.Armz instrumental mixtape series(How to Be An MC or Instrumental Kings). http://www.datpiff.com/mixtapes-search.php?criteria=j.armz&x=2&y=15(enables one to listen to or download J.Armz mixtapes or http://www.howtobeanmc.com/(J.Armz website).

There's also the Special Herbs series by MF Doom. You'll recognize many of the beats from his (and others') albums, but in this series they're all just the instrumentals.

Take is a producer who makes some great beats.

Daedelus is, too, but he's all over the place, style-wise (in a good way, or at least I think so).

Thavius Beck also makes some weird beats, but sometimes there are vocals (sorry!)

Mush Records has a lot of great beat-makers.

You know that the beats and production for Macklemore & Ryan Lewis are by Ryan Lewis, right? He has a solo album called Instrumentals, which should be perfect.

Response by poster: coolsara, I was aware of Ryan Lewis, but wasn't aware of the solo album. I'll definitely check that out.

And thanks for all of the suggestions, EMRJKC'94, but sadly, rdio doesn't believe Japan should be able to listen to their music. I'll track them down, though.

Simon Green's Bonobo. I've listened to Bonobo since Animal Magic. He's a master at his craft. Beats that make you want to get up and groove.
