Last Played and Play Count tags not updating in iTunes 11.0.2 (26)

I am having a problem with iTunes 11.0.2 (26). It appears that the "Last Played" and "Play Count" tags are not updating, where they had been working for some time.

I have tried the following fixes:

1. Confirming that Crossfade is off.
2. Turning Crossfade on and then off again.
3. Quitting and reopening iTunes.
4. Restarting my iMac.

This functionality is critical for me as I rely on playcounts to update a smart playlist for an internet radio stream that I help maintain. Does anyone have any fixes for this problem outside of what I have tried already?

My system specs are:
iMac, 24 inch, Late 2008
OS X 10.8.3 (12D78)
