I wonder if someone translates the Finnish theme song for Moomin into English. I cannot find the English translation in the internet. It would be very nice to understand what this interesting and classic Finnish song is about.

"Kun Muumipeikko, Pikkumyy
ja Muumipappa esiintyy.
Silloin laulu kutsukoon
tuijottelutuokioon.

Käy Muumilaaksoon!

Muumitalon asukkaat
seuraksesi kohta saat.
Pääset mukaan viidakkoon,
taikapilvikarkeloon.

Nyt Muumilaaksoon!

Paa-pa-pa-paa-pa...

Jos lähdet mukaan, lupaan sen,
saat muumihetken mieluisen,
vaikka Mörön märinä
voi värisyttää välillä.

Käy Muumilaaksoon!

Jo muumiperhe odottaa,
ja huuliharpun repustaan
kaivaa Nuuskamuikkunen.
Hän soittaa tutun sävelen.

Vie Muumilaaksoon!"

I see plenty of Google hits for Moomin lyrics, are they not what you're after?

Not exactly a direct translation but here it is in English.

I recognize some parts of the song from the lyrics above, so I believe its pretty close. The chorus Here is the Moomins is close to the Nyt Muumilaaksoon. The paa-pa chorus is there.

The above linked English version is not really all such a literal translation at all. I also didn't like it when I heard it so I made my own alternative English theme song for the show:

There's two versions, the latter being a very very literal, unidiomatized transcription.
