I like songs that evoke images of circuitry, complexity, and digital processes. What are some songs and artists that convey this feeling?
Examples:
Remind Me (Someone Else's Remix) by Röyksopp
Default by Atoms For Peace
In Motion from the soundtrack for The Social Network
What are some other songs of this type? Preferably uptempo. Bonus points if the tone is vaguely sinister.

I haven't actually heard them, so I'm probably wrong, but I'm guessing Autechre and Boards of Canada. Aphex Twin and Clint Mansell's soundtrack for Pi too.

Delarosa and Asora, particularly the Agony and Backsome EPs

Bjork - Bachelorette. It always sounds a little sinister and mechanical to me, while all the dramatic strings zoom around it.

A lot of glitch music has this general motif about it. See Oval's 94 Diskont for a prime example.

First song that jumped to mind was from Norwegian electronic duo Röyksopp, "The Girl and the Robot," featuring Robyn. Röyksopp's other music may well fit the bill.

A couple of vintage synth tracks are Ziwzih Ziwzih OO-OO-OO by Delia Derbyshire and Bruce Haack's Electric to me Turn. Both are so very early synth/electronic that the medium becomes the message. Both are rather menacing.

I was going to suggest Gary Numan as well.

Autechre. LP5 is all about this sound. Check out the song Arch Carrier for example.
Chiastic slide, Amber, and Garbage are also great Autechre albums.
Vietrmx21 might be one of the best ever ambient tracks.

Response by poster: Thanks for all the suggestions!
My preference seems to lean more towards the industrial side of things rather than ambient or synth. I definitely respect the foundations laid by artists like Kraftwerk and Gary Numen, but for the most part it's not really my sound.
I'll add another example that hits the right buttons for me: Stealing Fat by the Dust Brothers, from the Fight Club soundtrack.
Charlemagne In Sweatpants, I've always liked the main theme from Pi—it's pretty close to what I'm looking for.
Blazecock Pileon, from what I could find on Youtube, I like the sort of atmosphere Richard Devine creates in his songs, but it's a little too disjointed for me; I need a good hook.
BAKERSFIELD!, I like that Ochre track, particularly when the harder percussion kicks in around 3:36.
For those recommending Aphex Twin, can you recommend specific tracts? I've listened to a handful in the past and they seem pretty hit or miss. I like the fast and intricate percussion of some IDM (e.g., Squarepusher), but it often seems a bit too abstract for my taste.

Maybe Fuck Buttons Surf Solar which is a bit more industrial sounding, but only just hits the Turing spot sound-wise.
