I am parked on a city side street that is marked 2 hour parking only from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm. It is now after 8 and I will be parked in this spot overnight. My question is, does my two hour parking start at 7:00? I have to move my car before 9:00? Overnight parking is allowed, lots of cars are there with mine. Thank you!

Best answer: Yes, two hour parking starts at 7am and from personal experience, I can tell you that if you do not move your car before 9am you will get a ticket.

You might also get 'courtesy towed' after 9. Also, you might want to take a second look to make sure there are no other signs like no parking from 7-10am mon-friday, because I got towed in a situation like that last year, where two signs had two different time restrictions.

And if you're in NYC don't imagine there's even a 15sec grace period after 9am.
