Quick, blush-inducing question: remember the diner scene in Silver Linings Playbook? I would like more scenes from movies/TV like that (basically, a conversation which plays out like an impromptu tango, and in which one/both parties finds themselves unexpectedly/uncomfortably/obviously aroused).

I dunno about the tango, but the episode "Tigh Me Up, Tigh Me Down" of Battlestar Galactica had the newly-arrived Ellen Tigh uh...making Lee Adama very embarrassed and uncomfortable below the table. More her arousal than his, I must say.

Another example from 30 Rock, a scene between Jack and Avery's mother:

Jack: Uh, let's keep walking. In the cold.
Diana: Er, do you like baseball? Let's talk about baseball.
Jack: I love baseball. Abner Doubleday.
Diana: The bats are long and hard.
Jack: The gloves are girls.
Diana: Balls.
Jack: Jeter's thighs and those pants.
Diana: New topic!

The hotel dinner scene with Jennifer Lopez and George Clooney in Out of Sight. Soderburg subverts the phenomenon you're describing somewhat by intercutting the dinner flirtation with scenes of them upstairs undressing, but it actually works because you can view those scenes as playing out in the characters' heads as the flirt.

If you like that scene from Out of Sight, also check out Don't Look Now.
