The dog ate my video game!

The puppy decided that the 3DS version of Nintendogs was a suitable chew toy. The plastic housing is damaged beyond repair. The circuit board inside is slightly bent up. Before tossing the game and having to buy a new one, is there anyway to buy a replacement plastic cartridge housing and try the game out?
The puppy is telling you that you should play with him and not your virtual dogs.
Sites like DealExtreme should have replacement housings. Or you can just buy a cheap used game and swap it out. But yeah, test the board first.

I've heard Nintendo has outstanding customer service. Have you tried contacting them?

Response by poster: pla was right, the circuit board was too bent, thanks for suggesting testing it without spending any more money. Gev also had a quality suggestion as Nintendo Customer Service has been very helpful in the past.

Note, though, that circuit boards don't generally "slightly bend" and still work, and the DS has fairly small carts to start with (so not a lot of room for chewing without damaging something important).
This page shows what you have to work with on the inside of the DS.
Best of luck, though!
