MSN.COM Email Away from Home?

How does an MSN subcriber read mail away from home?

I have a dear friend who is rather benighted when it comes to technology, and she will be staying with me for several days on an extended road trip. Where she is now, she tried to find her msn.com email and could not figure it out, and I have taken a shot and cannot figure out if it's possible to get email from another computer that does not have the whole MSN dealie installed. I have tried mail2web but this does not work. Any clues?

Is this a hotmail or xxx@msn.com account?

When you go to msn.com, you should see a link that says Sign In, on the right, under the search bar. It says HOTMAIL/ MESSENGER/ MY MSN/ SIGN IN. If she logs in with her email address and password, she should be able to access her account.

Response by poster: xxx@msn.com. Hotmail. . .well even *I* would be embarrassed asking that.

For a time hotmail was displaying a drop down menu with hotmail.com and msn.com as the email domain to select from, so I think you can log in to msn accounts through hotmail.com, just log in with the full email address.

What modofo said; I have an msn email address, and I use Hotmail to access it all the time. For the login I put myemailaddress@msn.com and for the password - obviously - I enter my password. Works fine.
