Help get a damaged kiteboard kite back in the air

I came into a posession of a damaged kiteboard kite (photos), and want to repair it. There are two sail-length tears and a missing 50x50 panel at the top edge. I think I can make a reasonable repair with spinnaker tape, silk thread and a sailor maker's needle. My next problem is to work out how to rig it to fly it. Any suggestions? I have a budget of less than $50.00 (AUD/USD)/ €40. I figure that it could be turned into a useful practice kite.
