How can I get rid of Windows Speech Recognition from Vista?
I used to use speech recognition on occasion, but don't really need it anymore. In fact, it's beginning to get annoying how it always automatically starts up shortly after start up, freezing my computer for a few moments in the process.
I've gone to Control Panel, Ease of Access, then to the advanced speech recognition options, but the checkbox "Run speech recognition at start up" has always remained unchecked.
I've also checked in msconfig.exe under the Startup tab, and there doesn't even appear to be an option for Windows Speech Recognition.

Response by poster: Yes, I've already tried several links on Google and the two proposed solutions I mentioned above were all I could find.

Response by poster: Yeah, I've tried that one too. I appreciate your help, but it looks like I'm stuck with Windows Speech Recognition.
