Where can I buy this stuffed animal?

In a carpet catalog (FLOR), as part of the staging in a picture, they have a little stuffed animal by a chair. My wife and I had a funny "argument" about it, and I think it would be fun to buy it for her for Christmas. But it has to be this exact one. Does anyone know where I can buy it? (Photo)

I think it's a stuffed horse, so I guess that's a start.

According to this, they shoot their catalogues in real homes. I'd suggest trying to contact Flor by calling or trying through Twitter, to see if they can find out for you.

Or, if you recognize the shoot from one of their behind the scenes pics, it may be possible to track down the home from other photo shoots (the blog post mentions some having been in decor and interior magazines and books, and they may have been on some design sites too) and contact the owner directly.

It looks just like my daughter's "Jelly Cat" zebra, but without stripes. I'm havin trouble finding a jelly cat stuffed animal online that looks like the one I have here. I'll keep looking. I'm guessing it's a horse.

I actually thought that was Alf, not a horse.

Here's a picture of the zebra.

It's "Emily's Ark Archie the Aardvark". Definitely. Google Emily's Ark to buy it.

The snout isn't quite the right shape for Alf and the eyes are too small. I thought it was a giraffe! Jellycat giraffe for reference. There are Jellycat horses too, but none of them look like good candidates.

I am 2nding that it looks like a "Jellycat" stuffed animal - I think this one. I think it's a horse because it looks like it has a mane and a long tail sticking out from underneath its bum.

Best answer: Another jellycat giraffe.

Yeah, I'm increasingly sure it's the giraffe like in artychoke's link; OP's pic has the squiggly mane, the little nubbly horns between the ears, and the right nose shape.

Best answer: I see the little nubby horns now - pretty sure it's this giraffe.

I'm with Halogen on this. Unfortunately it looks like the aardvark kit is out of stock.

Response by poster: Hmm, it's funny, because our argument was about what animal it is. Amusing that opinions differ. We've arrived at the idea that it's a horse, which was what my wife said, and a friend "judge" decided. I thought it looked like ALF first, but then basically just "any animal but a horse." I now concede it's probably a horse... but I don't think anyone matched it yet... unless someone got the aardvark kit and kind of messed it up.

I think littlesq is the closest with the ebay link to the giraffe. it looks like a perfect match.

Response by poster: I see now that the ebay giraffe from littlesq may be it -- just the wrong color, maybe?
posted by edlundart at 9:33 PM on December 9, 2012

Oh yeah, perhaps the Jellycat giraffe in this color scheme?
posted by halogen at 9:48 PM on December 9, 2012

Response by poster: I think it should be this color... but my link is the wrong animal. Thanks so much for the help so far, everyone. It seems it is very probably a Jellycat product.

Yep, it's totally littlesq's jellycat giraffe, just in a different colourway.

That is so totally a giraffe. I'd say that photo has been color corrected slightly, too, for effect. It seems like it's made out of chenille.

On jellycat.com/usa, under the jellykitten collection, there is a Pink and Blue Baby Collection, which lists a Beginnings Giraffe Pink that looks remarkably like the stuffed creature in your photo.

Response by poster: Yep, that's the same one I think. Maybe they no longer make it in "my" color... if anyone comes across it, please do let me know.

I think it's this "Jellycat horse pony" on ebay
posted by coolsara at 6:32 AM on December 10, 2012

It's not the Jellycat horse or the Giraffe. Look at the shapes of the legs. The front legs of the mystery animal flair outwards, as if they are hoofed. The Jellycat animals' front feet don't do that. Also, look at the shape of the snout: it's a section of a cone, with flat sides. The Jellycat horse pony has a bulbous snout. The shape of the Jellycat giraffe's snout is closer, but the giraffe has horns which the mystery animal doesn't, and it has bumps on the ends of of each of four legs, which the mystery animal doesn't.

I'm still going with the Emily's Ark Aardvark as the closest match.

The giraffe I linked to has flared feet. And the aardvark doesn't have a mane and giraffe horns.

Ah, you're right artychoke. I hadn't realized there were multiple Jellycat Giraffes. I'm with you now.

Could this be the right one?

Response by poster: Wow, who knew there'd be a hot market with inflated prices for this thing... I don't think that's it, due to the prominent horn(s) -- but it's certainly a close cousin.

Maybe you could just print out this thread and give it to your wife.

On second thought, don't do that. She'll just think we're all crazy.
