Fly fisherman: is there a fifty dollar gift out there I could buy you that you wouldn't buy for yourself?

I'm looking to buy a gift for a fly fisherman who I'm sure has all the normal equipment. But I'd love to buy him something that's either a nice luxury, or a unique item, or something. $50 price range. Any ideas? Thank you.

I would fawn all over this hand-cranked 2-way radio. Or maybe a deluxe survival kit?

I know of a local artist that paints fly fishing lures. His artwork probably exceeds the $50 budget but Patagonia did a small run of T-shirts using some of his art. Patagonia doesn't carry it anymore but I found at least one store that is still selling it.

If this person is also a dog person, this book is fantastic... Drake.

The author is a fly fishing guide, the book combines his relationship to his dog and his love of fishing.

Why yes, I would like anything by C&F design. Meticulously perfect Japanese fly boxes, lanyards, and other fly fishing kit, and all priced just enough to be a luxury.

Marttini knives from Finland last a lifetime. I inherited my filleting knife from my grandfather.

When I was at the Catskill Flyfishing Center and Museum this summer, I got a fly line from Lee Wulff's personal collection. Not only that, but the certificate with it was signed by Joan, arguably an even more famous person in the history of fly fishing. I'll be framing this and putting it on the wall. It's pretty amazing and will come in well under $50. You'll probably have to call them to order one, since their site doesn't seem to have it.
