Is it feasible to ship liquor from Europe to the US?

Shortly I will be vacationing in the vicinity of some of my favorite drinkables. Is it practical or even possible to ship liquor and/or beer back to the US? I know that I can bring 1L back in duty-free, but what if I want to bring back 6 bottles or so without having to haul it myself?

ATF web page on the subject.

Caveat - most, if not all, express carriers (FedEx, UPS, DHL) will not provide Customs clearance unless the consignee is an ATF licensed importer. You may have to arrange for clearance on your own.

You can bring more than 1L in your luggage, you just may be asked to pay duties.

I've found it's not worth the effort to schlep more than a couple of bottles from overseas. Good deals and selections can be found in the States at places like this.

Go through an online source. I haven't had any problems
when I've used them.
