Half remembered short story: Girl and Guy meet at rail station waiting room. Feel a relationship spark. They walk into nearest Town and dance at a bar. Halfway through the story the couple realise that they (and everyone else in the railway waiting room) are ghosts. *Might* have been a originally posted to the metafilter?

I am trying to track down a half remembered short story: A Girl and Guy meet at rail station waiting room. All the other people in the waiting room are described in lots of detail.

Aside from the two main protagonists I remember a weary mother, a little girl (pre-teen) and a shout-y entitled man. The waiting room is described with just enough detail to make it seem fairly time-less

The Girl and Guy feel a relationship spark. They walk into nearest Town and dance at a bar.

Halfway through the story the couple realise that they (and everyone else in the Railway waiting room) are ghosts. This realisation doesn't stop them falling in love and supposedly living happily ever after

*might* have been a originally posted to the metafilter?

I know it sounds like a Twilight Zone / Outer Limits episode, but I know I read the story and it definitely wasn't any kind of short drama.

I've searched askmetafilter and metafilter using every combination of the following keywords: "ghost, short, story, train, rail station" I can think of but don't get a correct hit.

Does this sound familiar to anyone? Because if this story doesn't actually exist anywhere already I'm going to have to write it just to get it out of my head!
