American Investor seeks Discount Brokerage Firm with access to Toronto Stock Exchange. On line access preferred. Foreign incorporation considered.

Uh... most canadian online discount brokerages allow Americans to open accounts. Incorporation is not required. Try Investorline. Apparently applications from US citizens need a W-9 from from the IRS, but all the bank's froms are on their website as PDFs.

Investorline rates highly in comparisons between the major discount brokerages in Canada. It's not the absolute cheapest (typical $25 CDN per trade for < 1000 shares), but it's par with the majority.br>

I've never been unhappy with TD Waterhouse. My wife seems happy with whatever Scotiabank offers. And ENorthern might be worth a look-see.
